Coach Vacancies

Background

The University of St Andrews Football Club is looking to recruit part time football coaches for its men’s and women’s programme ahead of season 2016/17. Since the appointment of the Director of Football, the only such appointment in Scotland, back in January 2011, the club has grown dramatically from having three competitive men’s teams and one women’s competitive team to now boasting six competitive men’s teams and three women’s teams. In that time a professional football performance training programme has been created that the players follow on a weekly (term time) basis to give them every opportunity of developing as players and thus, bringing success to the club. We have been fortunate in this time to have achieved six promotions with our various teams in addition to three cup wins within the Scottish and British University competitions. We are actively seeking applications in the form of a covering letter and CVs from enthusiastic, highly motivated and aspiring coaches looking to help the club continue to progress  for next season and beyond.

The University Football Club is a proud member of the Athletic Union and contributes annually to the success of Saints Sport. The facilities on offer to the club are amongst the best in the country and have recently attracted the likes of FC Barcelona, Manchester United FC, Manchester City FC recently whilst providing the training base for Dundee United FC. The University is committed to offering its students the best experience possible and sport plays a key role in this. Not only has it committed to the appointment of full time personnel in various sports but has also committed to spending £20 million over the next three years in facility development. This is a good time to get involved in one of the best University sporting programmes in the United Kingdom.
